WHY THIS EXISTS
Understanding your RV creates freedom.
I learned because I had to. I am not naturally mechanical. I am curious. I have towed boats for most of my life and learned early that when something broke, sometimes there was no one else around to fix it. I learned to troubleshoot, ask questions, read manuals, and keep trying until I understood what was happening. My first RV was a 2018 20-foot Airstream. After one season, I upgraded to a brand-new 2023 27-foot Flying Cloud. That trailer was a lemon. It has since been gutted to the studs, and nearly every major system has been replaced, repaired, or redone—much of it at the Airstream factory. Riveted Advisor grew from a simple belief: other RV owners should benefit from what I had to work so hard to figure out.

I have towed boats for most of my life and learned early that when something broke, sometimes there was no one else around to fix it. I learned to troubleshoot, ask questions, read manuals, and keep trying until I understood what was happening.
My first RV was a 2018 20-foot Airstream. After one season, I upgraded to a brand-new 2023 27-foot Flying Cloud. That trailer was a lemon. It has since been gutted to the studs, and nearly every major system has been replaced, repaired, or redone—much of it at the Airstream factory.
Along the way, I have dealt with electrical problems, plumbing issues, appliances, towing equipment, steps, jacks, hitches, water heaters, and failures that seemed to happen at the worst possible time. I have called manufacturers, talked with technicians, studied manuals, sifted through hundreds of videos, and learned to separate useful information from confident-sounding nonsense.
I did not figure it all out alone. It took manufacturers, technicians, friends, fellow owners, and a lot of persistence. It takes a village to turn a lemon into lemonade.
That trailer taught me more than an easy ownership experience ever could. It also changed my life.
I am RVTI Level 1 certified as an RV Inspector and am currently working toward RVTI Level 2 Diagnostic Specialist certification. I am still learning—and I always will be.
Nothing about an Airstream requires male body parts. Confidence is learned.
